Minutes of the January 18, 2025 Meeting at Mel’s Diner in Auburn, CA
President Ron Barker called the meeting to order.
The meeting began at 8:30 a.m.
Chaplain Rod Beidler gave the invocation.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Steve Hoss.
The S.A.R. Pledge was led by Greg Hill.
Introduction of Guests
President Ron Barker introduced the guests at the meeting. The guests names were Connie Barker, Elizabeth Hill, Veda Hulbert, Will Stoddard, Steve Bush, Coreena Ross.
Approval of Meeting Minutes
President Ron Barker called for the approval of the meeting minutes. Greg Hill made the motion to accept the meeting minutes. Rod Beidler seconded the motion. The motion carried to accept the meeting minutes
America 250 Report/Program
President Ron Barker, Connie Barker, and Greg Hill gave a presentation about the 250th Anniversary of the Battle at Lexington and Concord.
Officer and Chapter Reports
President Report: Acting President Ron Barker spoke about the chapter’s participation in the poster contest. He said that they were going to schools and talking about the poster contest. The poster contest theme this year is the 250th Anniversary of the Battle at Concord and Lexington.
First Vice President: Greg Hill gave his report.
Second Vice President: No report was given.
Treasurer’s Report: No report was given.
Secretary’s Report: Ron Barker said the chapter dues were sent into the state society.
Chaplain’s Report: No report was given.
Poster Contest
President Ron Barker spoke about the poster contest and the school presentations. He invited the chapter members to come out and participate at the schools. The theme of the poster contest is the 250th Anniversary of the Battle at Lexington and Concord.
New Business
Color guard Report: Color guard Captain Dale Ross spoke about the upcoming color guard Event. This is the District ll Meeting that will be held in Roseville on January 25th, 2025. The N.S.D.A.R President General Pamela Wright will be in attendance and the other N.S.D.A.R. dignitaries are former President Lynn Forney-Young, and Kathryn West America 250 National Chair will be the honored dignitaries in attendance at the District ll Meeting.
President Ron Barker called for the meeting to be adjourned.
S.A.R. Recessional: Greg Hill led the S.A.R. Recessional.
Benediction: Chaplain Rod Beidler gave the benediction.
