Minutes of the April 17, 2021 Meeting via Zoom

President: President Dave Gilliard called the meeting to order. The meeting began at 8:30 a.m.

Invocation: Compatriot Dave Gilliard led the invocation.

SAR Pledge: Compatriot Ron Barker led the SAR Pledge.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Compatriot Jonathan Dickey.

Introductions of Guests: The guest was Coreena Ross.

Approval of Meeting Minutes

Compatriot Greg Hill made the motion for the March meeting minutes to be approved. Compatriot Dale Ross seconded the motion. Motion carries for the approval of the March meeting minutes.

Program

There was no program for the April Meeting because the meeting was going to be short due to the CASSAR Meeting that was being held on the same day.

Chapter Reports

President’s Report: President Dave Gilliard spoke about The California Society Sons of the American Revolution will hold its state meeting on April 17th, 2021 and the meeting will be held virtually.

President Dave Gilliard said the Patriot’s Day Celebration was going to be cancelled due to the COVID 19 restrictions and the date of the celebration was going to be held on April 19th, 2021.

2nd Vice President’s Report: Second Vice-President Al Jones said he was going to work on a future presentation..

Treasurer’s Report: President Dave Gilliard gave the treasurer’s report at this meeting.

Secretary’s Report: There was no report given at this meeting.

Valley Forge Report:  There was no report given at this meeting.

Eagle Scout Report: There was no report given at the meeting.

Membership Report: Tony Chakurian said there was a new member who was approved and was living in Japan.

J.R.O.T.C. Report: There was no report given at the meeting.

Colorguard Reports: There was no report given at the meeting.

Chaplain’s Report: There was no report was given at the meeting.

Newsletter Editor: There was no report given at this meeting.

Registrar’s Report: Compatriot Tony Chakurian said there were two new members admitted to the chapter.

Genealogist Report: There was no report given at this meeting.

Old Business

President Dave Gilliard spoke about the Patriot’s Day Celebration was cancelled due to the COVID 19 restrictions.

President Dave Gilliard said there might be a May Meeting at Mel’s Restaurant in Auburn.

President Dave Gilliard said the chapter was working on Veteran’s Recognition Program.

New Business

President Dave Gilliard asked Compatriot Dale Ross to bring the Colorguard Uniforms to the next meeting for the new members to see the uniforms.
Coreena Ross spoke about the CASSAR Ladies Auxiliary Program.

Jonathan Dickey spoke about the NSSAR America 250 Program.

Jonathan Dickey invited the Gold Country Chapter to participate in the July 3rd Heritage Day that will be held in Genoa, Nevada.

Adjournment

President Dave Gilliard called for the meeting to be adjourned. Ron Barker made the motion for the meeting to be adjourned. Don Littlefield seconded the motion. Motion carried.

SAR Recessional: The SAR Recessional was led by Compatriot Tony Chakurian.
