Minutes of the February 20, 2021 Zoom Meeting
President: President Dave Gilliard called the meeting to order. The meeting began at 8:30 a.m.
Invocation: Compatriot Dave Gilliard led the invocation.
SAR Pledge: Compatriot Tony Chakurian led the SAR Pledge.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Compatriot Dale Ross.
Introductions of Guests: The guests were new members Tim Scarborough, Mark Moore, Dave Hulbert, Coreena Ross.
Approval of Meeting Minutes
Compatriot Ron Barker made the motion for the January meeting minutes to be approved. Dave Gilliard seconded the motion. Motion carries for the approval of the January meeting minutes.
Program
Compatriot Jonathan Dickey gave the program for the chapter this month. The program was Benedict Arnold-Hero or Villain.
Chapter Reports
President’s Report: President Dave Gilliard said about the upcoming March meeting. The Gold Country is going to hold its poster judging contest on March 20th, 2021.
The California Society Sons of the American Revolution will hold its state meeting on April 17th, 2021 and the meeting will be held virtually.
President Dave Gilliard spoke about Patriot’s Day being held in Auburn at the center square. The date of the presentation will be April 19th, 2021.

2nd Vice President’s Report: There was no report given at the meeting.
Treasurer’s Report: President Dave Gilliard gave the treasurer’s report at this meeting.
Secretary’s Report: There was no report given at the meeting.
Valley Forge Report: 1st. There was no report given at this meeting.
Eagle Scout Report: There was no report given at the meeting.
Membership Report: Tony Chakurian said there were three new members. Their names are Tim Scarborough, Dave Hulbert, and Mark Moore. President Dave Gilliard swore them into the Gold Country Chapter Sons of the American Revolution.
J.R.O.T.C. Report: There was no report given at this meeting.
Colorguard Reports: There was no report given at the meeting.
Chaplain’s Report: There was no report was given at the meeting.
Newsletter Editor: There was no report given at this meeting.
Registrar’s Report: Tony Chakuirian said there were two new member applications that were being reviewed and another person is interested in joining the chapter.
Genealogist Report: There was no report given.
Poster Judging Contest: There was no report given.
Old Business
Wreaths Across America Program: President Gilliard said there was a new Wreaths Across America coordinator and her name was Marilyn Schneider.
New Business
CASSAR President Don Littlefield gave a report about the virtual meeting that will be held on Saturday, April 17th, 2021. This is the April State Meeting for CASSAR.
The Patriot Resource System is almost completed and should be done by late March or April.
CASSAR State President Don Littlefield said the November State Meeting will be held at the Mission Inn in Riverside and the dates of the meeting will be November 4th through November 7th, 2021. More information will be forthcoming.
The National Society Sons of the American Revolution will be held in Tacoma, Washington this year. More information will be forthcoming.
Coreena Ross spoke about the CASSAR Ladies Auxiliary. The CASSAR Ladies Auxiliary donated $30,000.00 for the last California National that was held by the NSSAR.

President Dave Gilliard called for the meeting to be adjourned. Ron Barker made the motion for the meeting to be adjourned. Don Littlefield seconded the motion. Motion carried.
President Gilliard gave the benediction at the meeting.
The SAR Recessional was led by Compatriot Donald Littlefield.
