Minutes of the February 15, 2020 Meeting at Mel’s Diner in Auburn, CA
President: President Ron Barker called the meeting to order. The meeting began at 8:30 a.m..
Invocation: Compatriot Gordon Clark led the invocation.
SAR Pledge: The SAR Pledge was led by Compatriot Jonathan Dickey.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Compatriot Michael Buck.
Introductions of Guests: The guests for the February meeting were Conni Barker, Michael Buck, Coreena Ross, Marian Best, Jeanette Clark, Laura Dubnow, Michael Dubnow, Daniel Dubnow.
Approval of Meeting Minutes
The January Meeting Minutes were published. Dave Gilliard made the motion to approve the January Chapter Meeting Minutes. Dave Gilliard seconded the motion. The Meeting Minutes were approved as published.
Program
The program for the February meeting was Mike Holmes and he spoke about the Impeachment process for the President of the United States. President Ron Barker presented Mike Holmes with a miniature Replica of the Liberty Bell.
Chapter Reports
President’s Report: President Ron Barker spoke about the upcoming chapter elections and they were going to need volunteers to help with the elections. This a chapter fundraiser.

Treasurer’s Report: Dave Gilliard gave the treasurer’s report.
Secretary’s Report: There was no report given at the meeting.
Eagle Scout Report: There was no report given at the meeting.
Valley Forge Teacher Program: There was no report given at this meeting.
Membership Report: There was no report given at the meeting.
J.R.O.T.C. Report: The next J.R.O.T.C. award will be given on January 25th, 2020. 1st Vice President Mike Holmes spoke about an advanced J.R.O.T.C. program.
Colorguard Reports: There was no report given at this meeting.
Chaplain’s Report: There was no report was given at the meeting.
Newsletter Editor: There was no report given at this meeting.
Registrar’s Report: President Ron Barker inducted new member Don Simmons into the Gold Country Chapter SAR. Two members received their supplementle membership and they were Gordon Clark and Thomas David Best.
Genealogist Report: There was no report given at the meeting.
Poster Judging Contest: The Gold Country Chapter picked up a new school to participate in the chapter’s poster judging contest. The name of the school is Rocklin Academy.
Old Business
The Gold Country Chapter March meeting will be held at the Auburn Supervisors Office and the address is 175 Fulweiler Avenue, Auburn CA. The chapter will participate in the poster judging contest. The date of the poster judging contest will March 21st, 2020 and the time will be at 9:00 a.m.
President Ron Barker spoke about the Nevada Sons of the American Revolution State Meeting. The meeting will be held on April 3rd, 2020 through April 5th, 2020. The meeting will be held in Reno, Nevada.
President Ron Barker spoke about the California Sons of the American Revolution state meeting that will be held in Rancho Murrietta. The dates of the meeting are April 17th and April 18th, 2020.
New Business
The Auburn American Association of University Women will host a challenge. The challenge is DAR versus SAR Her Story, the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment. The meeting will take place on March 28th, 2020.

President Ron Barker called for the meeting to be adjourned. Mike Holmes made the motion for the meeting to be adjourned. Dave Gilliard seconded the motion. Motion carried.
