Minutes of the April 19, 2014 Patriots’ Day Meeting at Lincoln Way and High Street in Auburn, CA.
President Dale Ross presided over the meeting and called it to order at 11:10AM. Secretary Greg Hill was taking minutes.
Opening: The opening consisted of President Ross calling the meeting to order. As the meeting was taking place on a public street corner, ceremonies were skipped for this meeting. This meeting was scheduled to coincide with the time and place of the 2014 Patriots’ Day event at which the chapter setup a flag display and the color guard were in uniform to pass out literature while greeting and educating the public on the meaning of the day.
Attendance: There were 7 members in attendance. Secretary Hill confirmed that this constituted the minimum quorum for a meeting. There were also 8 guests attending, not including the general public.
Minutes: President Ross asked for approval of the minutes as posted on the website. They were approved unanimously.
Reports: President Ross reported his attendance at the recent CASSAR state meeting in Sacramento and announced that the Gold Country Chapter won the best Medium Large Chapter award. He presented the plaque and also a streamer for our participation in the Wreaths Across America which 2nd Vice President Bill Graber affixed to the chapter’s SAR flag.
Closing: President Ross adjourned the meeting amidst a rousing series of “huzzah” from the members. We resumed Patriots’ Day activities when President Ross adjourned the meeting at 11:20 AM.
