Members of the Gold Country Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, joined the community celebration in downtown Grass Valley for the annual Fourth of July Parade. Chapter members, spouses, and Color Guard volunteers proudly represented the SAR in full colonial attire, marching beneath bright summer skies with flags of the Revolutionary era.
This year’s parade brought together dozens of local organizations, service clubs, and community groups in a festive display of hometown pride. The Gold Country Chapter’s appearance served as a reminder of the enduring legacy of America’s founding generation and the patriotic spirit that unites us still.
Participation in local parades like this is one way the Sons of the American Revolution fulfills its mission of honoring our patriot ancestors and promoting public appreciation of the freedoms they secured. Chapter members always enjoy sharing a bit of living history with parade-goers—especially younger spectators curious about the distinctive tricorn hats and colonial uniforms!
